Prioritized Daily Task
Be at the temple at 10:30 AM
11:00 AM Endowment session
1:00 PM Initiatory session. 1:45 PM before I was able to start and only allowed to do 3 names
2:45 PM Sealing session scheduled: I was able to start at 2:15 PM and finished at 3:45 PM. I was able to complete all sealings of children to parents
I slept in, had prayer with Debbie, showered, shaved, and dressed. I went to the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. Debbie had planned to go with me but was sick and had diarrhea. Brad Gale, PA called me back and sent a prescription for 3 or 4 more days of antibiotics to the Costco pharmacy in Lehi. I talked to Ora today. She told me about falling a couple of days ago and twisting her knee. She has to use two walking canes to move. Dan still has a cold but is improving. The home health nurse came by to see Ora today. I talked to Elain, she is still in Heber. She has not left for NY to see Blake, Ryan, and the children. I do not think the baby has not been born yet. The book, Stone Manager, The Untold Story of the First Christmas by Jeffrey R. Chadwick a professor at BYU, I sent to all the family and Max and Debbie Kimball before I read it contains some things that do not agree with things I have accepted as fact. It is just another test of faith. Things that do not seem possible are in fact true no matter what the learned may say. There is much debate as to when Jesus was born. I copied the following from the internet: ".....Lastly, 25 December might be a reference to the date of the Feast of Dedication, which occurs on 25 Kislev of the Jewish calendar. This would require that early Christians simply translated Kislev directly to December.[citation needed] Research done by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints generally places the birth of Jesus at some point in early to mid April,[66] whereas September or late March have been suggested by theologians, biblical scholar and author Ian Paul.[67] Shia view In the Shia hadith compilation Tuhaf al-Uqul the sixth imam, Jafar As Sadiq says the following when approached about the birth of Christ during Christmas, '"They have lied. Rather, it was in the middle of June. The day and night become even in the middle of March"'. This statement of his does not literally mean it was on June 15th but it is in reference to a day near the Spring Equinox." Another example where Dr. Chadwick takes liberties to make the story of Jesus' birth in Matthew so it will fit his narrative is Matthew chapter 2, verse 16: "Then Herod, realizing he had been mocked of the magushim, became very angry and sent men to put to death all the baby boys in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding area, from two (months) old and under, according to the time which he had precisely determined from the magushim."
Original Greek text: διετοῦς - two years καὶ κατωτέρω - and below
as found in the King James version of the Bible: Matthew2:16 "Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men." Again I am not saying Dr. Chadwick is wrong. It may have been two months instead of two years as Matthew recorded in the Bible. I do not know for sure. Faith is the first principle of the Gospel. Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed.
