 31 May 2022, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task *Note: I truly believe there can be no causal Christian, for if we are not watchful and resourceful, in the heat of the battle, we will become Christian casualties. Elder Jeffery R. Holland of the Quorum of 12 Apostles Debbie and I had prayer together.  Her mother fell in the hall.  Karlene and Debbie both drove over to check on her.  She thought someone was knocking at the back door.  She went to answer and fell twice.  The second time she did not have anything in the hall to pull herself up with as she did in the kitchen with the cabinets.  Debbie and Karlene fed Jalna breakfast and later Debbie and I drove back Home to Lehi. Call and check with Dan Guinn about 2021 GA estimated taxes and Cason Road's status regarding rental payments (no answer - I sent him a text and an email with a copy of two checks one for $500 {Fed. incentive $250 for Debbie and $250 for me} and one for $1,932 {GA. tax refund})....

 30 May 2022, Monday Priorit ized Daily Task Jody, Brenda, Shelby, and Libby spending the night with us in Lehi Check with Dan Guinn tomorrow Check with the  changing of my password in the Apple App Store Saturday.  I purchased a b-hyve app for the water sprinkle system for the yard and garden.  I tried to cancel the $9.99 order but the office was closed and the automated system of Apple could not understand that I wanted the $9.99 removed from my Visa credit card.   Debbie and I had prayer and she drove out to Jalna's and tried to get her mother to eat some breakfast.  All she would eat is a cinnamon roll.  When Debbie got back here to Karlene and Joe's we had breakfast.  Afterward, we drove out to New Sweeden Cemetery and cleaned and put flowers on Cause and Edith Sealander's grave.  Then we drove to Fielding Cemetery in south Idaho Falls where we cleaned around the grave and put flowers on Henry and Edith Johannessen's graves, al...

 27 May 2022, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Call Kristina at Thrive Nursery Phone: (801) 225-5011 about the espalier pear tree with 2 or 3 varieties of pears grafted into the one tree (I could not get through on the phone.  I sent a text to Kristina. 10:00 AM - Debbie and I had prayer and went to the Mount Timpanogos Temple at 10 AM for an endowment session.  I took Hoyt Richard Murdock's name.  As we were sitting in the chapel I opened the scriptures to D&C 99, a revelation to John Murdock.  After the temple, we went by Sprinkler World, had Hayden help me with more parts for the garden, and returned others. We got home, changed clothes and Debbie made brunch for us.  26 May 2022, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task 9:00 AM - meeting with Gary Perisser with Stonebriar Financial in  Orem Work on the sprinkler system.  Pick up parts for the garden from Hayden at Sprinkler World on Main St. in Lehi. 2:30 PM - Debbie and I, lunch at Fire House Sub with Cooper and Kendra 4:00 PM - Debbie and I, Hayle Theater "Amazing Grace, School of Rock" 6:30 PM - Children's Choir at West Jordan School Auditorium; Camden, Braddock, and Ocie Hobbs performed I called and talked to Ora and Elain.  Elain is leaving tomorrow afternoon to fly back to California.  Dan is taking her to the airport.

 25 May 2022, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task Check with Matt the accountant what response he sent the CA Franchise Tax Board about the notice I received 9:00 AM - Debbie's hair appointment 1030 AM - Work on the sprinkler system.  Pick up parts for the garden from Hayden at Sprinkler World on Main St. in Lehi. 4:00 PM - Alex's graduation from Long Peak High School   Debbie and I attend the Hale Theater production  Debbie and I had prayer; she went to get her hair fixed and I worked in the back yard and on the sprinklers.  Debbie said what I had done in adjusting and changing sprinkler heads was good but still need more aduisting to keep to much water out of the shrubs and plants next to the house.  Mold and moss has started growing again.  24 May 2022, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task Take Paul Sampson's posthole diggers back to him.  He said just leave them on his porch next to his front door at 639 W. 1290 N. 9:00 AM - Debbie's appointment to have her hair done 5:30 PM - take Debbie to dinner at Cafe Rio   Debbie got home at about 2 PM and went to her doctor's appointment at 3 PM.  I worked in the backyard until Debbie got home from the Podiatrist. He cut a wart off her toe and will try and help her with her foot that she broke. Debbie and I went through some of the suggestions she put together for us to talk about and do. Some she drew out today were: Are you a cat or dog person?  What was your first thought when you met me?  Guess each other's least favorite food?  What is your favorite music artist?  What is the best vacation you had as a kid (child)?  Have dinner and go to a movie.  We went to dinner but did not have time for a movie.      ...

Take the rest of the garbage and recycle trash to the street for city pickup Shelby Traveller graduates from High School in Twin Falls this afternoon. *Note:  I heard something today that is so true, "it feels so good to be exhausted from doing the Lord's work".  I remember days when Michael, Matthew, Beth, and Rae Lynn were young at home.  I would get up early and drive two hours to attend a ward or branch in our stake and work with the leaders and members until the afternoon, then drive home.  On other days meetings would start early and last until close to midnight and I would drive home.  Later when Debbie and I were serving as missionaries in the Adriatic North Mission our days would start at 4 AM and not end sometimes until 2 AM.   Mirko and Ljubica Jelicic worked helping us and never faltered.  Yes, it is very true,  it is ...

Joe L. and Karlene got in late last night.  Debbie is staying at her mother's.  Debbie had to get up with Jalna during the night.  We had prayer together.  Debbie is going to church when Karlene comes over and then she is going to Twin Falls for Shelby's graduation from seminary.  19 May 2022, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task Carter Hobbs' 12th Birthday - I sent him a text from Debbie and me through his parents, Ryan and Stephanie Elison "Ellie" Hobbs' 14th Birthday - I sent her a text from Debbie and me through her parent, Patrick, and Anndalyn 7 AM - Jason did not come by to crimp the ferrule on the cables that will support and act as a guide for the grapevines to run on - I sent him a text.  18 May 2022, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task 9:30 AM - appointment,  LifeLine Screening at Hampton Inn, in Orem  11:AM - visit Cook's Farm and Greenhouse where Debbie purchased the grave vines we planted in the backyard.  I bought two 6 ft poles for the grapevines to grow on until they can be attached to the wire cables; I went to Tri-City Nursery looking for Thrive Nursery where we purchased the espalier apple and pear fruit trees.  I was checking to see if the apple and pear trees with several (6) varieties of apples grafted in and the pear with several varieties grafted in had arrived from their farm early.  I talked to Kristina Veenker, a supervisor and is also in charge of purchasing.  She told me the apple had arrived and I purchased one.  She said the pear grafted espalier could arrive within the next two weeks or so.  I told her I would call in a week or so. I called the headquarters of The Grand At Moon Palace reservation customer service, and spoke with Renata on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022.  I told her my wife, Deborah, is having hip surgery on July 7th and will not be able to travel.  Renata, a Hispanic young lady, told me I made the reservation during a promotional and to change the reservation I will be charged the regular price for the room which is more than I would receive in credit for canceling one person.  I would be paying about $300 to cancel the reservation for Debbie.  I told her just to leave things the way they are. For 5 rooms 14564910, 11, 12, 13, and 14 have 2 adults and 2 children booked at a cost of $4,595.  A deposit was paid for each room $919. Call California filing enforcement section  MS F180 Franchise Tax Board in Sacramento regarding a tax notice for 2018.  My wife and I were in Serbia from 2015 to 2017 helping with humanitarian aid to refugees trying to get to Germany.   When we came home I purchased a home in Clovis but only stayed there for a short time.  I sold some land and a home in Alabama that year.   My family's farm is in Georgia and I filed a GA. income tax form.  My wife's family lives in Idaho and we filed an Idaho Tax form.  I had planned to live in CA but rented the home with an option to purchase.  My wife owns a home in Utah and that is where we get our mail.    ...

 15 May 2022, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task 10:30 AM - church at Abbington Memory Center 11:15 AM - Attend church at Lehi 7th Ward Family File Indexing  I slept in, had prayer, showered, and shaved.  I called Debbie and we had prayer before she gets her mother up and feeds her.  She is spending the nights at Karlene and Joe L.'s.  I drove over to Abbington Memory Center and set things up for church services.   At 10:15 AM, the priesthood from  Port Meadows 1st Ward  arrived and started services at about 10:30 AM.  After the sacrament meeting and things were put back in their place, I attended Lehi 7th Ward, mine, and Debbie's ward.  After Sunday school class was ended I came home and cooked breakfast/lunch.  I called and faced timed Beth.  I called and talked to Matthew who are celebrating Mother's Day today.  I tried to call Rae Lynn but got her answering machine.  I left a message.  Michael and Autum...

 14 May 2022, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task I called Debbie; she was on her way to cook breakfast and get her mother up.  I had my personal prayer, worked in the office, and ordered more edging and spikes for the border between the lawn and flowers, fruit trees, etc.  Richard Mayer was supposed to come out to the house and finish the sprinkler and drip system for the yard and garden at about 11 AM.  I got a text from him telling me it has been a long week and he needs a break.  Can I hand-water the plants? I finished the laundry and made the bed downstairs that Karlene and Joe L. slept on before Ryan comes next Tuesday or Thursday. 13 May 2022, Friday Priorit ized Daily Task Richard Clark is coming by today and I promised to get him a copy of my priesthood line of authority.  Karlene and Joe L. left early this morning to catch their flight to Hawaii.  I talked to them at the SLC Airport after they turned their rental car in.  I called and talked to Debbie.  Her mother is getting worst.  She can not stand up she is so weak.  We had prayer together before I started working in the yard.  I ate brunch at about 12:30 PM and afterward worked to about 5 PM when I came in showered and washed clothes and the bed linen on the bed we had guests sleeping on the last few days.  I talked to Richard Clark and he said it would be late before he finishes his work on his house today and drives up to Lehi.  I ate dinner and watched some of the story of Jesus of Nazareth and did some family file indexing.

12 May 2022, Thursday Priorit ized Daily Task Jake Lively's 21st Birthday Debbie is in Shelby, Idaho to help care for Jalna, her mother, while Karlene, his sister, is away; her daughter, Katie, and her children, Betsy, Nettie, Sawyer, and Maverick Abrams spent the night.  I fixed breakfast, cereal, milk, fruit, and muffins, for them. 9:00 AM Draper Temple appointment for Endowment family file. Richard Clark called and wants a copy of my priesthood line of authority.  I ordained him a high priest and his son, Jeff, is being called into the bishopric and wants his dad to ordain him. I scanned and sent Michael a copy of Franchise Tax Board from the State of California about his taxes.  I also deposited two checks for him in his Abella Systems Corp. at Wells Fargo Bank.  I picked up some milk, bread, etc. for more of the family, Karlene and Joe L. are spending the night and leaving tomorrow for Hawaii where many of their family are going.  11 May 2022, Wednesday Priorit ized Daily Task Ocie Hobbs' 6th Birthday (sent a text to Ocie by way of her parents and family) Debbie called and we had family prayer.   Michael texted and wants Alex and me to deposit two checks for him in the post office mailbox when we go up to take the brown Land Rover to the cabin in Heber. I made an appointment for tomorrow at 9 AM to do an endowment session in the Draper Temple. I worked planting the rest of the rose bushes and starting to put the ground cover and edging as a weed barrier.  Michael texed and Alex called.  We are going to the post office in Heber to get Michael's checks to deposit and having dinner at Cafe Rio.   Katie, Karlene's daughter, and children are spending the night and leaving in the morning on a flight to Hawaii.

 10 May 2022, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task  Up early, prayed, showered, and shaved; Ethan went to seminary at 5:30 AM with a neighbor; Brett took Luke to school at about 7:30 AM, and Rae Lynn took Owen and Brody to school at about 8:00 AM while I watched Weston.  I called and talked to Debbie.  She was about an hour from Shelly and her uncle Marion, her dad, Karl's brother.  Delta 3583 departs (Fresno) FAT 12:33 PM on Delta Arrive SLC 3:15 PM get Uber ride home I worked in the backyard planting about half the roses Debbie has purchased. 6:30 PM - me up at SLC airport and then to Abravenal Hall Allex performing with Utah  Symphony Orchestra (Debbie is not here but is watching Shelby and Libby play tennis.  She has not seen the play and they are in a state tournament. I cooked dinner, cleaned the kitchen after eating, and Debbie called.  We had prayer and I did some indexing before going to bed.

8 May 2022, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task  Mother's Day Mother's Day I had personal prayer; called and talked to Debbie; we had prayer; I showered, shaved, and got dressed for church.  Brett and Matthew got breakfast for all the children, cinnamon rolls, bagels, and cream cheese, before going to church at 10:30 AM.  Matthew, Madeline, Bella, Ava, Beth, Maggie, Andrew, (Tucker stayed homesick), Brett, Rae Lynn, Ethan, Luke, Owen, Brody, and Weston attended the sacrament meeting; all the primary children went up front and sang including the visitors.  I stayed afterward and attended Relief Society to hear Rae Lynn talk and then to priesthood meeting before Rae Lynn came and got me, Ethan, and Luke.  Craig took Tera, his daughter, and all the little children home.  Beth and Matthew each took a load home.  Craig is sick and laid down to sleep at home.  Michael, Autumn, and the children met all the other adults including Patricia and Reg at Heirl...

 7 May 2022, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task  Max Hobbs Baptism Sodasprings Stake Center 4:00 PM Brody Hobbs Baptism Clovis, CA I had my personal prayer, called and talked to Rae Lynn before she left to attend Max's Baptism at 10 AM; I put Brody's pillowcase out for the children to sign.  The children played in the pool and basketball, and video games. 9:45 AM - watch Owen play basketball.  He did well and their team won.  Ethan went to his volleyball practice and later Luke had a basketball game.
