Prioritized Daily Task
Ljubica Jelicic 71st Birthday
10:30 AM - Church services at Abbington Memory Center
7:00 PM - Pat and Anndalyn's home for scheduling to watch children
I was up early and took a shower and shaved at 3 AM. I went back to bed and slept another hour; packed and loaded the Outback. Debbie got up and we had prayer at 4:30 AM, packed the car, Shelby got up and her mother, Jodi, helped her put her things in the car. We left at 5:00 AM. I drove; Debbie packed some graves and a muffin to eat on the way back. We dropped Shelby off at her car. She had parked it at Kennedy Traveller or her sister's apartment. Debbie and I got home about 8:30 AM. We got dressed and listened to the conference talk that will be discussed in Relief Society lesson today. We drove to Abbington Memory Center and started setting things up for sacrament meeting at the center. The 2nd ward provided priesthood, music, and talks today. After church they helped put everything back up for next Sunday. We will have responsibility for services here next Sunday. Debbie and I drove over to Lehi 7th Ward services. We caught the end of Sacrament meeting and attended Priesthood and Relief Society. I saw Jane Haws who I minister to. I talked with her and she said she was not doing well. I asked her to let me help; she said there is nothing I can do. Her husband Mark has not come back home after he got out of prison. Later in the afternoon I called and talked to Derek Soderquist, Elders Quorum President, about her. After church Debbie and I came home and took a Sunday afternoon nap. I needed it. Debbie and I sent Ljubica Jelicic in Serbia a happy birthday wish and asked when their daughter, Bojana, would be back home so we can Skype? I called all the children. Matthew, Melodie, and the girls were on their way up to Beth's. She is having a party for Maggie. She will be 11 years old this Tuesday. I talked to Beth and Maggie. Beth was baking a cake for her; I wished her a happy 11th birthday. I called Rae Lynn and talked to Luke, Ethan and Rae Lynn. School starts this week for them. I called Michael but no answer. I learned from Matthew he had gone to support Immanuel in a basketball game he is playing in. When Debbie woke from her Sunday afternoon nap, she cooked dinner. Afterwards we drove over to Pat and Anndalyn's to get the children's schedule so we know what to do when Pat and Anndalyn go to Banff, Alberta, Canada. His company gave them the vacation as an award for his work. We got home about 9 PM. Listened to some history of early people on this continent, had prayer and went to bed.
