Prioritized Daily Task
Debbie and I had prayer, got dressed, and attended church in Matthew and Melodie's ward at 10:30 AM. We attended Sacrament and Sunday School. The lesson today was about Amos and how prophets have been compared to watchmen on a city wall who are to give warning of approaching danger. Over the last several years President Russell M. Nelson has warned us of several things before they happened. One was the need to have home-centered church services over a year before Covid hit the world. Churchs were closed and services were held in our home via Zoom on our wi-fi devices. Everything was in place; we were not playing catch up. Another was, we must have our own personal testimonies, we can't rely on our parents or others. We must learn to recognize the promotions of the Holy Spirit and heed those warnings. After church, we came home. Rae Lynn and Brett were at the house picking up Owen and Brody. I got to see Luke and Weston and tell them, Ethan, his mom, and dad good by before they left to go to Creag and Ronda Hobbs in AZ for the Thanksgiving holidays. I called and talked to Ora. She is doing better today than last week. Michael and Autumn came with Alex, Gracey, and Manney before 6 PM. Matthew grilled chicken, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Melodie made salad and baked beans. She had a fruit and vegetable tray and for dessert another birthday cake for Madeline and ice cream to celebrate her birthday again with her cousins that could not be with us yesterday. We spent the evening talking, visiting, and playing.
