Got a call from Bobby Husley in Georgia while I was at church. He told me that Mike McAlpin died last night, apparently of a heart attack. Bobby thinks the family is going to have his body cremated.
Debbie and I were up, had prayer, showered, shaved, and got ready for church at Abbington Memory Center. Afterward, we attended the end of our Sacrament meeting, attended Priesthood and Debbie attended Relief Society meeting. After church Debbie and I met with Bishop Yates and attended our tithing settlement reporting meeting. We are both full tithe payers. We came home and at about 3 PM we ate. I texted Alexandra "Alex". She wanted me to send her some family file names she, Blake, and Gracie can do. I texted Michael. We are leaving the Land Rover at the SLC Airport short-term parking in the morning for him. I called and talked to Matthew. Autumn texted us. Ethan called and has a volleyball tournament in Irvine, CA next Saturday the same day Madeline has her cheerleading tournament in Anaheim, CA. I hope we can attend both. Matthew sent us the information to stay near them at Hyatt Place in Anaheim. Daniel Champion, 1933 Linden St., Leeds, AL 35094, called. His phone number is 205-467-5867. He had talked to Linda, Doris McAlpin and Jim Russel's daughter. He wanted to know about the grave for William Alexander and Manah Matilda McAlpin. He is the son of William Jacob Champion III and Nancy C. McAlpin, the daughter of William Alexander and Manah Matilda McAlpin. I called Jane Shealy Chandler and left a message on her and Scott's answering machine. I called Roy and Elain Bryant, Ora Truitt, my sister, she is not doing well. Her daughter Susan Robinson will be back from Texas tonight. I called Jim Russell who was married to Doris McAlpiin and told everyone about Mike McAlpin's death and had no details about any funeral services. I asked Jim to let his daughters, Susan, Linda, and Sheri, know about Mike. They were close to him, especially Susan. I tried to call Elain, my sister, but got her answering machine; I left her a message the Mike McAlpin passed away last night. Debbie went over to Laura's; when she got home we had prayer and went to bed.
