Note: "The laughter of the world is merely loneness trying pathetically to reassure itself." by Neil A. Maxwell

I was up early, had prayer, showered, and got ready for the day.  I made a copy of the lab slip for drawing blood this morning to take with me to Quest.  It was sent from Inside Tracker early this morning.  I drove to Quest in Draper and had blood drawn to be sent to the lab.  When I got back home Debbie and I had prayer together and studied scriptures.  We left at about 2:30 PM to drive to Logan.  We stopped in Salt Lake City at the Golden Sacks Bank but did not have an appointment and could not see anyone.  They gave Debbie a phone number to call and open an account.  She spent almost all the time driving to Perry, UT to get an account opened so she can transfer money from her mother's inheritance to the account.  Debbie and I took the old highway beside the interstate and stopped at a fruit and vegetable stand and bought some things.  We also stopped at Maddox Ranch House and had dinner.  This place has been in business since 1948.  It started as a fried chicken shack beside the highway that seated 7 people outside.  They now have a full menu and are nationally known for the beef cattle they raise.  We got to Ryan and Stephanie before they left for their ward BOQ at a park next to a pond.  Debbie and I met some very nice people, two older couples were the Wells and the Masons.  When we got home Ryan and Stephane had Abby copy the children's schedule through Sunday at church.  Afterward, we studied scriptures.  **** I made a note of what Stephanie taught the family; I remembered when Christ was teaching the people of Capernaum.  He had fed the people on other occasions.  Many could have come looking for a free meal.  On this day Christ did not feed them but told them unless they eat his body and flesh and drink his blood, they would have no part in Him.  One of the people who heard this knew Peter and he went to Peter and asked him what Christ meant?  This is a hard saying!  Peter told the man, I have know idea.  I only know he is the Savior, the Son of God.  We need to be like Peter when we hear something that we don't understand and it seems to be a hard saying, doctrine, or policy.  We need to remember the Lord loves all of us more than we can imagine and it is for our eternal good that we need to remember that His prophets when speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit speak for Him.****  We had family prayer with Ryan, Stephanie, and all the children.  Debbie and I had prayer before going to bed at 10:30 PM.

**** John 6: 53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” 59 ................ Many Disciples Turn Away. 60 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”

61When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” ........... 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” 66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” 68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
