I was up early, had prayer, called and talked to Debbie before she left for her doctor's appointment, and had prayer with her. Beth and the children got up. The Douglas family, friends of Beth and the children, made streamers and valentines with notes, "We Love You Andrew" and taped on their front door. They also left chocolate chip cookies at the front door for him. He had a challenging day yesterday at church. It was Andrew's fault but the Primary Choir Director did not handle it well for an 8-year-old child. Her actions would have been more appropriate for an adult or a much older young person (my opinion). A lot of the mothers who serve in primary were aware of what happened and Sister Douglas and her two daughters came last night at 11:30 PM to let Andrew know he is loved. I think it meant more to Beth than it did to Andrew. I took Tucker to seminary and talked to him about Saturday night's homecoming at the high school. He told me about the DJ and the music. He went with his buddies and said there was no dancing with girls. I did not question him if his statement was true but told him something I want him to put in his memory bank. Some day soon there will be boys dancing with girls and there will be young girls who are standing on the side just waiting for some boy to ask them to dance. Often some of the girls go home disappointed and their self-esteem is pushed even lower because no boy asks them to dance. If you ask them to dance, you will make a friend and that young lady will remember you all her life. I got home and tightened the screws and bolts in Tucker and Andrew's bunk bed. Later I took Michael's truck, filled it with gas, and got it washed. I met Beth at Target and bought some can lights to replace those that had gone out. Kjarstin, the primary choir director who lives in across the street in the same apartments as Beth came over and they talked. The story took on more of a perspective when she told her side and apologized for not calling and telling Beth that Andrew said last week he did not know his part and this week (speaking of the practice Friday just before Sunday, 23rd Oct.) that he did not want to sing in the choir). She said was so sorry for not calling Beth and confirming that Andrew really does not want to be part of the choir. She said she loves Andrew; he is so sweet and kind, and she would never do anything intentionally to hurt him. She is a young mother and expecting a second child. Beth and Kjarstin became closer friends and know other better from the experience. Beth made an appointment for Michael, me, and her at the Stretch Lab this afternoon before we went and picked Andrew and Maggie up from school. The stretching was very good for mussels and ligaments I had not used in some time. I told Debbie about the place and sent her an email about it. I went with Beth to take Andrew to jiujitsu class at 3:40 PM. At the end of the class they had a ceremony where Andrew and two other children advanced or moved up a rank and got a black band on their belt. Beth took him to his Primary activity at one of the city parks. I rode with Beth to pick Tucker up from his high school football practice. We drove back to the park and picked Andrew, came home, and I replaced the front porch light before taking the pickup truck back to Michael. It was full of gas and washed. I told him about a chip on the front hood as if a rock had chipped it. I told him about the ticket that was put on the front windshield for parking in front of the exit gate at Owen's football game we went to on Saturday night. Gracie hurt her foot dancing and Autumn got home from Manny's basketball practice and took her to Urgent Care to have it X-rayed. Matthew came over after his business meeting with some investors and we visited until Blake called and asks Michael to bring him his computer to South Swell icecream shop where he works. Afterwards Matthew went home and we came back to the house. Manny was home, Autumn got home with Gracie. She only had some brused tissue and will be well in a week. I called and talked to Debbie; we had prayer together. I had prayer, slept on the couch and got to bed about 10 PM.
