Prioritized Daily Task

10:30 AM - Atlanta Georgia Temple proxy sealing session

We got a good nights sleep, had prayer together, showered, shaved, and cooked stake, eggs, and toast for breakfast.  I used the GPS to guide us to the Atlanta Temple.  I am glad I had it.  The roads have changed so much since I drove them when I live here.  The I-285 and the GA Hwy 400/ US Hwy 19 intersection has changed the most.  Even with the GPS I was questing the route it was taking us.  We left cedartown about 8:30 AM and arrived at the Temple at 10:15 AM.  We worked in sealing for 3 hours.  Max was the main sealer but others like Brother Bob Gagdon and a former Stake President named Johnston.  Debbie works as a coordinator for all the sealings.  We did not have much time to visit but will start catching up Wendesday evening when they are back home.  On the way back home the GPS wanted to take us west toward Birmingham, AL not north toward Rome, GA.  The reason, I-75 North was closed due to vehicles on fire blocking the road.  I ignored the GPS because I knew the way. "Big Mistake!"  When we realized from the interstate digital lighted signs there is a fire ahead we got off and took a side road (express fast lane toll road).  We arrived at Regions Bank on Turner McCall Blvd. in Rome.  They had copies of bank statements for both 2018 and 2019 for my two accounts, Money Market ending .....2780 and Checking ending in ....3125.  I took a quick scan, look, and saw a withdrawal, cashier check on A[pril 17, 2018 for $129,000 to Old Republic Title Comapany and an $8 fee charge.  I also got a copy of the withdrawal while I was there.  From there we drove over to the United Community Bank.  I got the fees of $180 put back into the account ending in ....4944 and closed the account.  I took the cash and Debbie and I went to dinner.  We called Charlie and Shirley Hibbert.  There was not answer, so I left a message.  We drove to Cedartown and visited with Dan Lester, an old friend.  We stopped at Wallgreen Pharmacy and they told us where the Big Springs Assisted Living, 131 Melissa Lane was located.  WE met one of the resident, Linda Wells, on the poarch.  We learned from Dan Lester that she knows Debbie and Max and thinks they are great people.  I got Dan's phone cell phone number, 678-901-2439.  He gave me his sons Mike and Robert's phone numbers, 678-988-2225 and 770-731-5756.  I called and talked to both of them.  We made arrangments to pick Dan up for church this Sunday at 9:45 AM for church that begins at 10:00 AM.  The missionaries have been bringing the sacament to him each Sunday.  On the way home we stopped at Kroger's and bought groceries and filled the car with gas.  We listened to a lesson in Psalms, Come Follow Me.  Debbie and I had prayer together before going to bed.
