Prioritized Daily Task
Michael McAlpin's 56th Birthday (I texted him wishing him happy birthday. He replied sending pictures I think of him in India)
Clari Janeway and Cache Traveller wedding and reception Logan Temple
Gateway Stake Conference 7:00 PM
Debbie was up early and got ready. We had prayer and she left with gifts to meet more of the girls going up to Twin Falls for Clari's wedding shower. I think all of Cache and Clari's aunts, female cousins, mothers (Jody and Alisa), and sisters will be there.
The flowers Debbie ordered for Joe L.'s mother's funeral arrived just before I left to go exercise at the Legacy Center.
* I listened to a talk, This I Believe, Gordon B. Hinckley, counselor to President Ezra Taft Benson, gave. at a BYU devotional on March 1, 1992. Our forefathers lived by the adage, something like this, "Patch it up, fix it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
"You are young, ambitious, bright, and are looking ahead, rather than looking back". With that definition in mind, President Hinckley was always young, one that was always looking ahead as is President Russell M. Nelson and all of the Lord's leaders, apostles, and prophets. (I had not read or remembered this talk but on Feb. 10th and 11th, this thought about looking ahead was in my mind. I am thinking more now about making changes to our goals, more on serving instead of travel.). He quoted William Robert Anderson, captain of the Nautilus who took his submarine under the North Pole, from sea to sea, 'I believe I am always divinely guided, I believe I will always take the right road, I believe God will always make a way where there is no way.'
Debbie got home from the shower in Logan. We ate dinner and attended the evening session Lehi Gateway Stake conference for adults. President Ehat's two counselors spoke, the Orem Mission President and his wife spoke, and the concluding speaker was Elder Jeffery Singer of the Quorum of Seventy.
Debbie and I came home, had prayer and got to bed about 1 AM.
