Prioritized Daily Task  

Check on Grant Johnson's Cave Home in Boulder, UT - We brought food and could have cooked in Grant’s well-outfitted kitchen, but instead, we drove twenty minutes into tiny, remote Boulder — the last incorporated town in the continental U.S. to receive its mail by mule train — where my sister owns a farm-to-table restaurant called (You can contact Grant through Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/h/bedrock)  *Heck’s Backbone Grill. 435-335-7464  (Lavinia Spalding is series editor of The Best Women’s Travel Writing, she is married and has a young son named Ellis)(Photographs by Dan Prothero). *Jen Castle and Blake Spalding, the chef/owners here at Heck’s Backbone Grill & Farm, were announced as nominees/finalists for best chefs in the Mountain Region by the James Beard Foundation for the 2020 season! Heck’s Backbone Grill & Farm is located in Boulder, Utah: population 226, one of the most remote towns in the United States. Approaching our 21st season, the restaurant enjoys one of the highest Zagat ratings in Utah and was selected as a James Beard Award semifinalist in 2017, 2018, 2019, and a nominee in 2020.

Jen Castle and Blake Spalding are our chef-owners and operate the restaurant following Buddhist principles, with a commitment to sustainability, environmental ethics, and social and community responsibility. We serve organic, locally produced, regionally and seasonally appropriate cuisine, growing many of our own vegetables and fruits organically in the restaurant’s two gardens and on our six-acre farm. We feature dishes made with fruit from Boulder’s heirloom orchards and rely largely on local ranchers for the grass-fed meat we serve.Debbie was up late last night and I let her sleep.  At 7:30 AM I rode with Matthew to take the girls to school.  

I was up early, had prayer, showered and got ready. 

12:30 PM travel to the SAN Airport. SAN to SLC ON TIME DEPART: 1:35 PM ARRIVE: 4:34 PM

We arrived in SLC at about 4:34 PM. We got out bags and I helped Debbie to them to the pick-up curb for arriving passengers at the airport. I took the shuttle bus to the parking lot, got the car, and came back and picked Debbie up. We went to dinner at Zupas and came home. I had a valentine card and candy on the dinner table for Debbie and she had a valentine card and candy for me on my pillow in our bedroom. We had prayer and thanked the Lork for our safe trip and all our family's many blessings.

22 Mar 2022, Tuesday Priorit ized Daily Task Abbey Hobbs 15th birthday (we celebrated with her last night in Logan) Debbie and I had prayer, got ready, and Jami brought Jack over to spend time with us while she goes for a job interview as an oral hygienist.  Debbie and I had a late breakfast and Debbie ironed clothes and played with Jack.  I worked on genealogy.  I missed a call from the Genealogy Library in SLC but they did not leave a message I called the family history center and talked to a young missionary named Brandon in the British/Ireland records.  He did not have the number or extension for the lookup department but knew where it was located.  He went up and gave them my phone number to call about Monday, March 7th order for  the land deed 2nd December 1728 in Belfast, Ireland for land Robert McColpin and his wife, Janet, sold to a Mr. McKell.  It was found on Register Surname Index; Year 1708-1729; Surname "M"; Part No. "11"; Serial No....

 28 Aug 2022, Sunday Priorit ized Daily Task Ljubica Jelicic 71st Birthday 10:30 AM - Church services at Abbington Memory Center 7:00 PM - Pat and Anndalyn's home for scheduling to watch children  I was up early and took a shower and shaved at 3 AM.  I went back to bed and slept another hour; packed and loaded the Outback.  Debbie got up and we had prayer at 4:30 AM, packed the car, Shelby got up and her mother, Jodi, helped her put her things in the car.  We left at 5:00 AM.  I drove; Debbie packed some graves and a muffin to eat on the way back.  We dropped Shelby off at her car.  She had parked it at Kennedy Traveller or her sister's apartment.  Debbie and I got home about 8:30 AM.  We got dressed and listened to the conference talk that will be discussed in Relief Society lesson today.  We drove to Abbington Memory Center and started setting things up for sacrament meeting at the center.  The 2nd ward provided priestho...

 29 Jan 2022, Saturday Priorit ized Daily Task We waited all day, until 6 PM, for Debbie's food to arrive.  It was supposed to have been delivered yesterday.  This afternoon we were told it will be delivered tomorrow.  We have to be in St. George, UT to watch the grandchildren while Ryan and Stephanie go to Logan, UT. Debbie and I drove 4 hours and arrived at 10 PM.  The children were still up.   We have a Skype meeting with Mirko and Ljubica in the morning at 8 AM.
